The kidneys. You have two of them, they're shaped like beans, they're in your abdomen and they're part of your urinary tract. What do they do? They filter the toxins and wastes from the blood. After we eat, our body digests the food and it then sends the waste into the bloodstream. This is where the kidneys do their job. They filter the blood and direct it back to the body. The waste and toxins are then expelled from the body, in the form of urine, by way of the bladder. Healthy kidneys process approximately 200 quarts of blood every 24 hours and, from that, produce about 2 quarts of urine. But when the kidneys are not working well, several conditions can result. Such as chronic kidney infections or kidney stones which can lead to tissue damage. Quality herbs, such as cranberry, gravel root and celery seed, blended with others, can help to remove kidney stones within time, without adding chemicals into your system.

And then there's diabetes.

We are a society who has found ourselves in the throws of a serious epidemic. Adult Onset Diabetes. The current estimate is one out of every nine American adults currently has diabetes and hundreds more could be diagnosed as you read this article. Diabetes is a disease in which blood glucose levels are above normal. When you have diabetes, your body can't make enough or can't use its own insulin, which is needed to process the sugar in your body. This causes the sugars to build up in your blood. The damaged kidneys begin to allow the waste and fluids to build up in your blood, instead of processing it out in the urine. This is called diabetic nephropathy and it affects both kidneys at the same time. Without the kidneys, you can't survive. There is a natural alternative to the chemically
developed insulin which is 100% organic. It will also aid in regulating your blood sugar.

But there is a warning before developing full blown diabetes. It's called pre-diabetes. This is when blood glucose levels are higher than normal, but not yet to the diabetic level. There are 54 million people nationwide diagnosed with pre-diabetes. This is their chance to possibly stop the progression to diabetes. Making lifestyle changes in their diet and developing an exercise regimen could be all it would take to reverse the symptoms of pre-diabetes and keep their kidneys healthy.

Kidney stones are a very common condition that can be chronic and run in the family. They are formed when the calcium deposits aren't diluted enough to be flushed out with the urine. They form into a crystal like substance and, as the crystals join together, they become a hard stone. If they're small enough, they can be passed with little or no discomfort. But when they are too large, they can get stuck in the ureter tubes which connect the kidneys to the bladder. This can be incredibly painful and, at times, will stop the flow of urine. Two things that contribute to the possible development of kidney stones, in people who are likely candidates, are poor diet and not enough fluid intake. There are some wonderful natural herbs and supplements available. One herb that is used to aid in dissolving kidney stones is the nettle.

The bladder system has three parts: the bladder which is a muscle, shaped like a balloon, that holds urine; the uretha which is the tube that drains the urine; and two sphincter muscles that help the
urethra open and close . It can be affected by many things. One thing is your diet; caffeine and alcohol can irritate the bladder, acidic and spicy foods can do the same. Some people experience difficulty when they eat sugar or dairy. Another thing is weakening of the muscle which causes incontinence. Leakage can
interfere greatly with life's daily activities. Committing to a regular regime of taking a natural herbal blend that includes hydrangea, parsley leaf and juniper berries can be very beneficial for this condition.

The pelvic floor muscle is a muscle that can be restored, just like any other muscle in the body, with proper exercises. This will also help reduce or eliminate bladder incontinence. This is one of the common threads in keeping the kidney and bladder healthy, along with diet. The bladder has specific exercises for incontinence and increased physical activity is important for weight reduction and blood sugar control. Natural herbs can remove toxins and revitalize the kidneys. There are natural properties used as diuretics found in juniper berries. Asparagus is used to increase cellular activity in the kidneys and increase urine production. The uva ursi, commonly known as the mountain cranberry, can be used as a diuretic and also to treat kidney and bladder infections. UTI's (urinary tract infections) and kidney infections are often accompanied by painful urination. The buchu leaf is used to soothe this, plus inflammation and redness of the bladder.

Combining a healthy diet, a consistent level of exercise and high quality herbal supplements, and drinking unsweetened cranberry juice can strengthen and help to restore the kidneys and bladder.
