Sure. go on the website NormalBreathing.com and learn how to get more oxygen in body cells by breathing correctly.
Firstly you do need to take responsibility yourself for what you choose to eat. Ask yourself why you're not taking care of yourself, why, in fact, you are actually choosing to harm yourself. You are eating yourself into an early grave, as you already realise.
Secondly, exercise is a very important part of weight loss. It doesn't have to mean going to the gym every night. It can just mean taking the stairs instead of the lift, walking one or two stops on the bus or tube. Introduce some regular exercise gradually into your life. Finally, losing weight is about developing a new, different and healthy relationship with food. Hypnotherapy can help you to do this. Look for a member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy or the CNHC to find a reputable practitioner.
This sounds so difficult I am sorry to hear about the lack of support you have to do what you know is best for your health. When the mind with all it's "shoulds" about what you "should" or "should not" be eating is in battle with and the emotional body guess what usually wins? Yup, you got it the emotional body. It is really crucial to get support if you are trying to change old habits. Stuff around food runs deep and so much of it is emotional. Really if it was a simple matter of making smart choices don't you think you would have done that long ago?
I'm not sure where you are located but if you are in the Bay Area, California there is an excellent organization: www.APTEDsf.com (Association for Professionals treating eating disorders San Francisco) that can provide resources and support. There might be a local APTED in your area too. Caheck it out. Feel free to call my confidential office line (415) 381-1065 if you want more referrals.
Warm Regards

Glad to hear that you already know that diets don't work! If you'd be interested in exploring an approach WITHOUT A DIET but rather focuses on learning how to master the mind which has been successful for many people, I'm happy to have a free consultation with you.
IT'S MORE ABOUT WHAT IS BOTHERING YOU THAT CONTRIBUTES TO YOUR STRUGGLE WITH FOOD AND LIFESTYLE CHOICES THAN THE FOOD OR SPOUSE
I gave some some second thoughts to this message since they continue to send it again and again to my email box.
Judging by the tone and style of the message, this person actually has no desire to lose weight. It is just for waste of time of other people and look important. Like children playing with temper tantrum to attract attention.
