Arguably one of the most popular therapies around today, Hot Stone Massage is not only extremely relaxing, and very effective due to the heat introduced to tense muscles but also much less strain on the hands of the therapist - win win really!

This is an accredited, level 3 practitioner course and to attend you must have a recognised massage qualification such as Swedish Massage, Holistic Massage, Aromatherapy, Sports etc, if you’re unsure just give us a call or email to clarify.

Hot Stone Massage is a deeply relaxing treatment that effectively releases stress and tension in the body. The heat of the basalt stones encourages the muscles to release quicker than traditional massage and is particularly beneficial for muscular aches and pains, insomnia, back pain, stress, tension and depression. In addition the effectiveness of this wonderful therapy reduces the strain to your hands.

During this one day intensive course we will cover:

  • The history of Hot Stone Massage
  • Contraindications of treatment
  • Preparation for Hot Stone Massage
  • Giving and receiving a Hot Stone Massage
  • Benefits of treatment
  • Safe use of Hot Stone heaters
  • Appropriate health & safety requirements
  • What type of hot stones and stone heaters you will need & where to buy them
  • Caring for your stones and equipment
  • Providing client after care advice

This will be a long but very enjoyable day during which you will have ample time to practice your new skills. A practitioner’s certificate will be issued upon demonstration of a competent hot stone massage.n

You must be a qualified massage therapist to attend this course.
