‘THE FOUR CORNERS OF THE WORLD’
How the Universe works
With Leo Rutherford, MA Holistic Psychology.
The Universe works like a hall of mirrors and what we ‘see’ depends on our frame of reference, on how we look at things. The ancient shamanic cultures who lived in harmony with the earth ‘saw’ the world through a very different lens to the one that is taught in our culture.
In this workshop:
Look through the ‘eyes of the ancients’, seeing the world through the shaman’s eyes as energy in motion rather than a collection of disparate objects.
See your world mapped out through the magic of the Medicine Wheel, showing how the Universe really works and how everything is related.
Understand your individual place in the scheme of things and learn about the relationships of the Great Powers to each other and to ourselves.
Experience altered states through the magic of the drum, the ‘shaman’s horse’, to access guidance and wisdom.
The shaman’s path is a way to knowledge and it teaches fundamental truths about our world. Expect a challenging and moving workshop which will effect how you ‘see’ - and therefore how you are - in the world.
Leo Rutherford is a renowned shaman, teacher and pioneer of shamanism in the West. He was one of the first people to bring the teachings of shamanism to the UK and founded the Eagle's Wing Centre for Contemporary Shamanism (Now 'College of Shamanic Medicine') in 1987. Having worked in industry for 20 years, he was suffering from acute stress and depression by the age of 40 - and setting out to find a path with more heart - he discovered the ancient wisdom of indigenous shamans, a path which has been transforming him ever since.
He has published five books including ‘The View through the Medicine Wheel’ ‘Shamanic Path Workbook’ and ‘Principles of shamanism’
