TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE The philosophy, diagnostic and therapeutic techniques of Oriental Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine ("TCM"). The purpose of the program is to allow the student to integrate the concepts and techniques of Oriental Medicine into naturopathic practice. This includes applying TCM principles to the human body; having appreciation for relationships between the Oriental zangfu ("organs"); and having a deep understanding of the Oriental modes of diagnosis. After making a thorough diagnosis, students will apply treatment principles and techniques to many disease patterns for rebalancing the Qi of the patient. Techniques learned will include, acupressure, moxibustion, tui na, Chinese herbs and nutrition.
