Vitamins and Minerals for Bone Strength

Daily Bone XcelTM and Daily BuilderTM are two of our top bone support formulas.* Many individuals seeking vitamins and minerals chose one or the other, although we include both products in our Daily Super PackTM. Daily Bone XcelTM enables you to take 1000 mg of the finest calcium in 5 capsules. Daily BuilderTM requires 8 capsules to reach 1000 mg of calcium, but also provides excellent nutrition for collagen, connective tissue, and joints making it an all purpose vitamin and mineral supplement for structural support.*

Many people find that Daily BuilderTM is a preferred choice of vitamins and minerals to help low back and hip support, as well as bones.* By comparison, Daily Bone XcelTM is focused on bone support.* Two Daily Super PacksTM per day provide 1118 mgs of calcium (4 Daily Bone XcelTM and 2 Daily BuilderTM). The vitamins and minerals in Daily Bone XcelTM cooperate in maintaining optimal bone density and are fundamental to good health.*

Quality Vitamins and Minerals Make the Difference

The quality of calcium is important, as are numerous vitamins and minerals as cofactor nutrients that support healthy bone metabolism.* We never compress minerals into tablets, as this makes them much harder to absorb. And we never use cheap minerals like plain calcium carbonate, bone meal, dolomite, or oyster shell, as they are very hard to use. While calcium citrate is easy to absorb, the large quantity of citrate needed for 1000 mg of calcium per day may cause headaches or fatigue. Wellness Resources specializes in exceptionally useful forms of vitamins and minerals, especially calcium.

Coral minerals in our calcium supplement are a unique form of high quality minerals, naturally built into highly crystalline structures by sea organisms called polyps. We obtain our coral minerals from the pristine waters off the Ryukyu Islands of Okinawa. When the polyps die they leave behind a natural blend of calcium, magnesium, zinc, selenium, and many other trace minerals. The highly organized geometric structure of these minerals enables them to have unique biological activity.* They are the only form of calcium shown to absorb in both fat and water soluble mediums.* They are in a readily ionizable form, meaning they are easy to absorb and utilize.* They have an incredible absorption rate of 70%, higher than any food and almost twice that of many other forms of calcium.*

Microcrystalline hydroxyapetite (MCHC) is another excellent form of supplemental calcium.* Bones are made of hydroxyapetite crystals, a unique blend of collagen fibers, calcium, phosphorus, and other mineral cofactors. MCHC is a true bone food.* Unlike coral minerals, MCHC does not form mineral ions. It stays in small crystals and is transported to bone, literally acting as a pre-made bone food.* This provides a significant bone building advantage.* Numerous studies support the use of the MCHC form of calcium supplement for bone support, in both young and old.*

Daily BuilderTM also uses Calcium AEP, a unique form of calcium that supports nerve and bone health.*

Vitamin D for Calcium Absorption

Vitamin D3 in a calcium supplement has been shown to be helpful in improving calcium absorption and supporting bone health.* Due to the fact that many Americans do not get adequate sun exposure for vitamin D synthesis, especially in winter months, supplementation with vitamins and minerals is important.* Vitamin D has many functions in the body, one of which is assisting parathyroid hormone, which helps calcium formation into bone.*

Many experts recommend up to 2000 IU of vitamin D per day. 5 capsules of Daily Bone XcelTM provides 800 IU, 8 capsules of Daily BuilderTM provides 400 IU, and 2 Daily Super PacksTM provide 1020 IU. By additionally using our Bone HelperTM product, it is easy to add more vitamin D, as desired. Each Bone HelperTM contains 400 IU of vitamin D3 per capsule, as well as additional nutrients for bone strength and joint health.*

Magnesium and Bones

Magnesium is needed to activate a bone enzyme (alkaline phosphatase) that is involved in forming new calcium bone crystals.* Magnesium is also required to make dietary Vitamin D into its biologically active form (1,25-dihydroxyvitamin, D3).* Low magnesium lessens the function of parathyroid hormone, a main hormone that assists in the formation of new bone.* Diets rich in magnesium are consistent with good bone health.*

Vitamin K

In a calcium supplement Vitamin K works in harmony with vitamin D to enable calcium to form the hydroxyapetite bone crystals, the very building block of bones.* Without vitamin K calcium cannot attach to the collagen matrix of bone.* Vitamin K is widely recognized as an excellent bone support nutrient.*

Individuals taking the blood thinning medication Coumadin should not use Daily Bone XcelTM or Daily BuilderTM, as the vitamin K may nullify the effects of the drug. Such individuals may take one of our non-vitamin K-containing calcium products, such as Coral Calcium. Vitamin D may be obtained from the Daily Energy Multiple VitaminTM (400 IU per 3 capsules) and from Bone HelperTM (400 IU per capsule), as neither of these products contain vitamin K.

Trace Minerals

Boron works synergistically with magnesium to help support bone and joint health.* Strontium occurs in relatively large concentrations in bones and teeth and is another important cofactor for healthy bones.* Silica is found in high concentration at calcification sites of growing bone and plays a role in bone formation.* Manganese is also needed for bone mineralization, as well as connective tissue and cartilage formation.* These trace minerals, while needed in smaller amounts than calcium or magnesium, are nevertheless very important for optimal bone health.*

Collagen, Connective Tissue, and Joints

Daily BuilderTM, in addition to providing a high quality calcium supplement, magnesium, and bone cofactors, also contains the vitamins and minerals needed by collagen, connective tissue, cartilage, and muscles.* In essence, Daily BuilderTM is a calcium supplement and multiple vitamin for body structure.* These vitamins and minerals help provide a relaxing effect on tight muscles as well as nutritionally assisting joint health.* Daily BuilderTM is one of our top products to support the low back and hip.* Our Rejuvenation PackTM, which really boosts up structural nutrition, may be used with Daily BuilderTM or the Daily Super PackTM for significantly increased structural support.*
