After an injury, the road to recovery can seem like a long, arduous and tedious one. With physical therapist appointments and aches and pains that inhibit everyday movement, the period of recovery after an injury can truly start to feel overwhelming and it can be easy to feel like there is no end in sight. While recovery can be stressful, it's important to remember that there is indeed a pot of gold at the end of the recovery rainbow. Here are four things to keep in mind while healing from an injury.

Sometimes we can start to feel like our physical therapists are pushing us too far beyond our limitations. At this point, it can be easy to begin to feel frustrated by what they ask of us. However, it's essential that you remember that your physical therapists are trained professionals who know what they are doing. Listen to them and follow their instructions, even if you sometimes might feel pangs of doubt.

 

Stay Mobile

Making sure you keep a full range of motion after an accident is extremely important during recovery. While you should follow your doctors' and therapists' limitations, you should aspire to be as active as possible within reason.
