THERMO-AURICULAR®ASSOCIATION
Aims & Objectives
To establish guidelines for a common standard of training, and to ensure that tutors registered with the association provide appropriate standards of professional teaching, practice and conduct.
- To promote the responsible use of Ear Candles.
- To initiate, support or verify research into any branches of information, which are applicable and helpful to the continued availability of Ear Candles.
- To act as the lead body representing the welfare of therapists and suppliers of Ear Candles, who share common concerns regarding the safety and quality of Ear Candles now available on the mass market
Training Standards
All Students are required to have an Acknowledged Qualification in a Professional Body Work Therapy and to have a Diploma in Anatomy & Physiology or an Approved equivalent.
A copy of the required course notes - copyright Ó TATh. Are / may be forwarded to the enrolled participant ten days in advance.
The main course following the statutory syllabus will be held over a minimum period of six hours including adequate breaks to integrate the theory and practical content of the therapy.
Prior to receiving the accredited certification Each Student must submit to one of the course originators 3 Case studies (3 clients each receiving 3 treatments) accompanied by 500-word essay.
IT IS ACCEPTED THAT ALL STUDENTS WILL: -
A) HAVE STUDIED THE FOLLOWING CORE SUBJECTS:
•¨ Professional Ethics.
•¨ Hygiene and Sterilisation.
•¨ Business Studies.
B) HAVE A CURRENT CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE. - Photocopy to be supplied.
C) HAVE BEEN QUALIFIED AND PRACTICING THERAPY FOR A MINIMUM OF SIX MONTHS. - Photocopy to be supplied with application.
