This course has been specifically constructed for massage therapists who want to take their massage skills to the next level without having to commit to another long course (like a Sports Massage diploma). This is a 4 day course that will expand your skills, upgrading the quality of your work, enabling you to be more creative and precise, and making your work more interesting and effective. During the course you will learn:

• A wide variety of deep tissue massage techniques;
• How to achieve deep pressure safely and effectively, even if you are not a giant!
• To do deep work using your fingers, knuckles, forearms and elbows, depending on the level of pressure required, with ease and confidence;
• How to use deep pressure while saving your thumbs and preventing repetitive strain injuries;
• To do very precise and focussed work
• Side-lying and seated techniques;
• How to focus on specific areas (eg Lower back, neck, etc)
• A number of different stretching techniques
• To refine your sense of touch, developing a better palpatory awareness;
• Performing a pre-treatment assessment that gives you useful information to plan your treatment
• The basics of advanced topics, like Soft Tissue Release, Muscle Energy Techniques and Trigger Points.

This course is open to qualified massage therapists.
