Seasonal Aromatic Acupressure - Autumn-Winter

This 2 day workshop covers a wide range of advanced acupressure and holistic techniques that can readily be applied to your aromatherapy practice. In particular, the seasonal use of acupressure points and essential oils will be explored, with a special focus on the energetic demands associated with the phases of autumn and winter. Throughout the 2 days a deeper understanding of oil energies, point dynamics and interactions will be gained. By the end of the workshop, you will have a broad appreciation of the rich importance of seasonal influence on health and disease and take away a host of effective techniques and skills. Course overview: Classification of Qi points and seasonal interactions of Qi Abdominal massage and diagnosis and developing a healthy Hara Strengthening Mingmen, Wei Qi and immunity with oils and Qi points Qi strengthening exercises for practitioner & client health Cultivating intention and the effect on Qi Balancing and harmonising meridians of the neck Leg and neck meridian stretches Mother-Child hand techniques and 2-hand connectedness in massage The workshop has a high practical content and assumes a basic prior knowledge of Qi and the Oriental Five Phase / Element theory. Qualifications in basic massage and aromatherapy are a pre-requisite for attending the course. TUTORS Debbie Davies is an experienced therapist and teacher and has studied holistic healing techniques for many years. Her engaging, eclectic style is deeply rooted in a sound understanding and appreciation of Oriental traditions and Debbie has studied with experts in the field, including Carola Beresford-Cooke. Janetta Bensouilah is an aromatherapist and acupuncturist and is co-author of the book "Aromadermatology - aromatherapy in the treatment and care of common skin conditions". Over the years she has developed an integrated approach, taking the best from aromatherapy & acupuncture to combine them and produce highly effective treatments in her clinical work. Janetta and Debbie co-present the workshop, having worked closely together over the years in both teaching and clinical contexts.
