JOB TITLE: CHOCOLATE FAIRY ::
OFFER WOMEN A TRULY HOLISTIC APPROACH TO WEIGHT-LOSS WITH BEYOND CHOCOLATE TRAIN NOW TO TEACH WOMEN ABOUT THE INTELLIGENT ALTERNATIVE TO DIETS, SLIMMING CLUBS AND QUICK FIXES
New Chocolate Fairy Training starting January 2009
If you are looking to widen your professional skill set and feel passionate about offering women everywhere an intelligent, holistic alternative to the depressing slimming clubs which promote the same old diets and 'lifestyle changes' that don't work you can train to become a 'Chocolate Fairy' and run Beyond Chocolate Drop-Ins in your area.
Beyond Chocolate is growing fast and an increasing number of women from across the UK and beyond are asking for support in their area. We are looking for women to train as Chocolate Fairies and take Beyond Chocolate to women across the UK... and further.
WHAT DOES A CHOCOLATE FAIRY DO?
Training as a Chocolate Fairy will allow you to earn a good income doing something you love. Being a Chocolate Fairy offers you a completely flexible job opportunity. You will be able to work as much or as little as you want.
Imagine running Beyond Chocolate drop-ins whenever suits you: evenings, weekends or even in your lunch hour...supporting and inspiring likeminded women on a weekly basis to explore the Beyond Chocolate principles and keep them motivated as they put them into practice and change their lives. The best way to support yourself along the way too!
What's a Drop-in? It's the intelligent, caring and truly supportive, holistic altenative to the weekly meetings currently on offer by the dinosaurs of the dieting indusrtry. As a Chocolate Fairy you can REALLY support women to have a healthy relationship with food and their bodies rather than weighing them and counting points!
The excitement and passion about Beyond Chocolate is infectious to be around and I love being part of this supportive, nurturing team atmosphere. Liz Skelcher (Chocolate Fairy, Brighton)
Although I'm excited about the opportunity of a new business venture, I'm also getting so much out of this experience for myself - I'm finally discovering a freedom with food and eating and a sense of trust and joy in my self and my body. Sophie and Audrey are professional, dedicated and inspirational both as course leaders and as exemplars of leading a Beyond Chocolate life. Nikki Townsend (Chocolate Fairy, Bristol)
As a Chocolate Fairy you will be trained, licensed and paid to:
- Lead ongoing "drop in" support groups
- Offer email and telephone support to e-course participants
- Staff on Beyond Chocolate workshops and other events
You will also:
- Have built in support while you continue to work on your relationship with food and your body
- Receive ongoing marketing and professional support from Beyond Chocolate to grow your business
- Have fun, learn and grow
Once you are qualified we will continue to support you with regular supervision groups, providing you with a place to bring your challenges and celebrate your successes!
WHO CAN BECOME A CHOCOLATE FAIRY?
You don't have to be 'sorted' or faultless, we are not looking for slim women with a perfect relationship with food. If you are passionate about Beyond Chocolate, if you would love to continue to work on it for yourself while empowering other women to do the same and you are willing, dynamic and committed, you have what it takes to be a Chocolate Fairy! The training is open to all women over 18.
WHO TRAINS THE CHOCOLATE FAIRIES?
The training programme is directed and run by Sophie and Audrey Boss, founders of Beyond Chocolate and authors of 'Beyond Chocolate: How to stop yo-yo dieting and lose weight for good' (Piatkus, 2006). Sophie is a humanistic psychotherapist (seewww.spectrumtherapy.co.uk) and has been running Beyond Chocolate workshops for 6 years. She has extensive experience of working with women in personal development as well as a background in management and teaching. She was a Director of Transitions Europe, a personal development organisation for women for 3 years and continues to staff women's workshops as a team leader. Before joining Sophie to work on Beyond Chocolate, Audrey ran her own events and PR company for 10 years. She will be sharing her skills in organising and managing events as well as how to market them and create media interest. We will also be drawing on the experience of a number of professionals from various fields. Liz Bussey a body work expert, Surinder Phul a nutritional therapist, and Matthew Stone a business coach.
MAKE A REAL DIFFERENCE
As a leader of Beyond Chocolate's psycho-educational programme you will be making a difference to the lives of countless of women. You will guide and support them to a healthy relationship with food, empowering them to know and trust their bodies. The value of this work is beyond measure.
We believe that in order for someone to work professionally as a Beyond Chocolate Fairy it is essential to work experientially, in an ongoing way, in order to have felt knowledge of the practical and theoretical content of the drop-ins. We value working on ourselves as well as others and we believe that this affects our ethics, our expectations of self and others and our attitudes. It is essential to keep working on our own relationship with food, our bodies, ourselves and others as part of continued professional development.
For this reason trainees are required to attend workshops that are both professional and personal in nature and will be expected to continue with an element of training and supervision for as long as they practise as a Chocolate Fairy.
THE TRAINING PROGRAMME
The programme consists of an initial 3 day residential retreat and 1 training weekend a month over the course of 6 months as well as regular reviews, support tele-seminars and a final assessment.
On the retreat trainees will have the full Beyond Chocolate experience, exploring every aspect of their own relationship with food and their bodies as well as group dynamics, and communication skills.
The training days will take place on weekends and will cover the following areas:
Communication and presentation skills
- Working with groups
- Leadership skills
- Nutrition
- Body work and movement
- Drop-in planning and logistics
- The Beyond Chocolate drop-in manual
- How to provide e-mail support
- PR, promoting and marketing your drop-ins
