Since Raworth embarked on training in Diet and Nutrition some two decades ago there have been huge clinical and academic developments in the field, and many graduates and tutors have throughout, and continue to, play a key role in these developments. Raworth has always worked closely with the professional body representing Nutritional therapists, (BANT), British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy, a senior Raworth Tutor serving as the current chairperson. Recently its accreditation role has been taken on by the NTB, the Nutritional Therapy Board, and Raworth have been members of the Schools Forum since its inception, ensuring that our training is always in the forefront of current professional developments.
Raworth training falls into two clear development stages, each with its own objectives and qualifications. The Dietary Therapy Diploma, studied two days per week over one year, plus supervised Clinical Practice, focuses on the promotion of optimum health, based on sound dietary principles, and disease prevention within the context of each clients lifestyle and personality. The Nutritional Therapy Diploma is studied two days per week over a further year, plus additional time for supervised Clinical practice , and may involve "careful prescriptions of diet, supplementary nutrients and natural detoxicication procedures", based on sound medical science and care and understanding of each clients individual needs.
Those with previous knowledge or specific interests may undertake individual modules.
