Course Overview
Aromatherapy is the systematic use of essential oils to help improve physical and emotional well being. Aromatherapy is truly a holistic therapy in that essential oils are selected and blended to suit individual needs, taking account of their physical and emotional state. This course offers a comprehensive training in all aspects of aromatherapy for commercial practice.

Outline of Course Contents
·       The History & Development of Aromatherapy as a Complementary Therapy
·       Safety precautions & contra-indications
·       The physiology of Aromatherapy including Olfaction
·       Detailed study of 30-40 essential oils
·       Basic Chemistry of essential oils
·       Blending techniques
·       Aromatherapy Massage Techniques
·       Other methods of application of essential oils including inhalations, compresses, creams, lotions & baths
·       Client workshops/ case studies
·       Practice Management skills

Entrance requirements
A recognised Body Massage and Anatomy & Physiology qualification.
