ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Massage Course
DIPLOMA IN MASSAGE LEVEL 3 ITEC (teaching + student centred study)
The Practical Massage element covers: All the conventional massage movements and their variants. Deep tissue manipulation for effective results A complete full body massage routine. The contra-indications of massage, and how to record and use a client medical history. Professional Conduct & Business Awareness (50 hours) - record keeping, accounting, advertising and the practicalities of running a small business, Health & Safety covered by units 22.1 and 22.2 combined class and home study.
The Anatomy and Physiology section comprises The skeletal system. The skin The vascular system. Cells and tissues The muscular system. The digestive system The endocrine system. Respiratory system The genito-urinary system. The neurological system. All these body systems are covered comprehensively concerning terminology, conditions and structures.
Students are required to compile case studies – 5 clients to be treated a minimum of four times each. Home study – up to 50 hours over the duration of the course with two special assignments on Professional Conduct & Business awareness.
