This one-day workshop is designed as an advanced workshop open to qualified Massage Therapists
Recognising and understanding the significance of surface anatomy is the first step in reading the complex ‘map’ of the human body and yet it is often not covered during basic massage training.
Subtle and sensitivity of touch and the accurate interpretation of palpatory tests are the foundation of all effective manual therapy assessments and treatments These skills are difficult to learn these from written descriptions or static illustrations alone.
This workshop is ideally suited to anyone who is recently qualified in Massage Therapy and is of particular benefit to you if you are considering further training in Advanced, Sports Related or Remedial Techniques. It is also of use to experienced therapists who may not have covered this during formal training.
During this fun-filled interactive day, you will learn to examine the skeletal structure, soft tissues, skin and surface markings, both visually and by touch. These twin skills of surface anatomy and palpation are essential for the successful development of the serious therapist.
