Open to qualified and student aromatherapists
Aromatherapists regularly encounter clients seeking relief from the symptoms of skin conditions. It is no secret that essential oils offer fantastic potential for sufferers of most skin disorders. A large number of skin conditions can be prevented, helped or treated using aromatherapy. Two of the main tenets of the therapy - touch and aroma - have been shown to directly and positively affect skin health.
Conventional treatments are not always effective and, in some notable cases, carry severe side-effects, adding to the stress and discomfort already experienced. Aromatherapy is certainly not a cure-all, but it can make a major contribution in the treatment of many skin disorders.
With the growing interest in aromatherapy, it is important that therapists have a sound knowledge of bio-chemical principles and the ability to apply a range of therapeutic possibilities to the management of skin conditions.
This unique two-day intensive Aromadermatology course will cover the study of the structure of the skin and its pathology, teaching an understanding of many skin conditions, together with recipes for dealing with skin disease and ailments.
