INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE - CERTIFIED 1 DAY WORKSHOP-Feb 2010

Indian Head Massage is immensely popular and needs no introduction. This treatment is beneficial not only for stress-related conditions but also for the health and beauty of hair. This intensive workshop will teach you how to select the appropriate oil for the individual's hair constitution and condition and perform an authentic, traditional Ayurvedic head massage. You will learn how to identify and stimulate the key marma points (energy centres) located in the head.

Structure of the training:

· Morning theoretical session

· Afternoon practical session

Brief Syllabus of the Theoretical Sessions:

· Insight into Ayurveda, basic Ayurvedic principles

· Understanding doshas (dosha functions, symptoms, assessment)

· Effects of Shiroabyanga, indications and contraindications

· Use of the oils in Shiroabhyanga

 This course is certified by the Complementary Medical Association. It is also eligible for CPD points.
