What is Aromatherapy?

Aromatherapy uses aromatic essential oils to enhance well-being and to stimulate and harmonise a healthy physical, mental and emotional state. Through the study and application of aromatic extracts of plants using special massage techniques, healing, relaxation and a general improvement in well-being can be achieved. This course is suitable for those wishing to qualify as a professional aromatherapist but also for those who have a genuine interest in taking the basic understanding of the therapy further.  The VTCT qualification is supported by the Aromatherapy Council (AC) for entry to the (AC) Register.

• History of Aromatherapy
• Uses of Aromatherapy
• Contra-indications
• Essential & Carrier oils
• Care and storage
• Blending & Aromas
• Oil safety
• After-care
• Massage routine 
• Relevant anatomy & physiology

• 7 day programme, including tutoring & practical
• Examination (2 hrs date to suit)
• Course folder containing all course content
