The Level 2 Award in Thermal Auricular Therapy (QCF) is a specialist award that has been specifically designed to help develop your basic knowledge, practical skills and competencies in; how to provide ear candling treatments on clients. Underpinning this qualification you will develop your interest and aspiration to work in the beauty industry. You will also develop an underpinning knowledge and understanding of the practical skills learned throughout this qualification. This course covers both practical and theory aspects of treatment including the use of an otoscope and is most suited to students who wish to perform ear candling treatments on clients or who wish to progress towards a career as a complementary therapist or beauty therapist.

This qualification requires the student to provide evidence of competence in the form of case studies or individual treatments to cover range statements, demonstrate sufficient knowledge to be able to explain Thermal Auricular Therapy and provide it safely, effectively and consistently.

Independent study is an essential part of this course and you will be required to complete both practical and theoretical assignments at home. Assessments will take place during the course and again when all your case studies and Portfolio of Evidence is completed.

The VTCT Level 2 Award in Thermal Auricular Therapy (QCF) provides learners with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform ear candling treatments on clients. This qualification also provides suitable progression opportunities to Level 2 Studies and opportunities also exist in the form of other specialist VTCT vocationally related awards at Level 2.

Course duration: Practical elements are covered over 2 days attendance at our centre 9.30am – 5.30pm. Theory elements are covered by homestudy, typically over 3 to 12 months plus 3 final assessments to be carried out at our centre.
