Manicure & Pedicure (Fast Track)

Course Overview
This course is designed to enable candidates to offer a professional manicure and/or pedicure service to the public. Manicures in particular have always featured as a popular service in both beauty and hairdressing salons.   Further training can be undertaken on other units and working towards a more comprehensive qualification in Beauty Therapy, such as the VTCT ~ Level 2 / 3 in Beauty Therapy.

·       Related Anatomy & Physiology
·       Contra-indications and contra-actions
·       Health, safety and hygiene
·       Nail shapes & process of nail growth
·       Treatable and non-treatable nail conditions
·       Practical step by step manicure & pedicure treatment procedures
·       Specialised luxury treatments ~ paraffin wax, heated mitts/ booties/ warm oil treatment, French manicure, gentleman's manicure/ spa manicures/ pedicures
·       Consultation and record keeping
·       Treatment planning
·       Product knowledge

Duration
Manicure (1 day) on our fastrack programme, Pedicure (1 day) on our fastrack programme & separate ½ day assessment appointment if opting to take VTCT/NVQ qualification.
It may also be possible to slot into our Level 2 Beauty regular attendance programme subject to availability of spaces. Please enquire for dates / costs.
