This course offers eligibility to the VTCT Level 4 Sports Massage for those who do not have the relevant entry requirements or basic massage skills. It is designed to bring learners up to the equivalent standard of the Level 3 in Sports Massage.
It will concentrate on the basic techniques and theory of massage required for accredited sports massage and includes an Anatomy & Physiology notes manuals and assignment for fulfilling the A&P pre-requisites of the accredited Level 4 course. There is an Anatomy & Physiology assessment paper to be completed following this course, should entry be sought to the VTCT Level 4 Sports Massage course, and an A&P manual will be provided. A VTCT Certificate for this A&P Unit can be provided at £45.00

- Relevant Massage techniques inc. effluerage, pettrisage, tapotement, vibration,
- preparation for treatment ie locations which can be used for Sports,
- treatment area,
- self and client preparation,
- correct posture & stance,
- after treatment care,
- massage routine for full body.
Acceptable entry qualifications: There are no formal entry requirements for this course, but ideally you will already work in the fitness or sporting industries or have a related qualifications eg Personal Trainers, Sports Science, Physiotherapy etc.
