Cupping for Healthcare Professionals

A comprehensive day-long course for massage therapists, chiropractors, physical therapists, and other licensed health care professionals.

This course presents the biological basis for the effectiveness of cupping, didactic training in cupping with extensive handouts, and practical training in groups of two or three. Methods of cupping taught will include: traditional glass fire cupping, cupping with suction machine, bamboo cupping, cupping with bleeding (for those licensed to do so), and gwa sha.

Other topics included are: safety, contraindications for cupping, and discussing cupping with clients. Client-education and example consent forms for cupping will be provided.

Each person will leave the course feeling comfortable with their ability to begin cupping immediately.

Class materials wil be provided. Basic home-going supplies will be provided and sources for purchasing supplies will be available.
