6th September and 7th Ocyober 2013

This is a 2 day course and both the above dates must be attended to qualify

This course is open to qualified massage therapists.

If you are a midwife or health visitor and interested in attending please telephone 029 20 591118

The aim of this course is to enable therapists to instruct their clients in infant massage techniques - also known as baby massage. Successful completion will allow you to teach mums, dads or carers how to safely massage their babies on a one to one or to run small groups by demonstrating the techniques on an Infant Massage doll. This is a great addition to your therapy repertoire as it is both deeply rewarding and far less strain on your body.

We will cover:

  • contraindications
  • Benefits of Infant Massage
  • Massage techniques both basic and advanced
  • Specific techniques to aid ailments such as colic
  • We will discuss massage and children with disabilities

Students will be required to complete two case studies under your tutors guidance between day 1 and day 2, it is anticipated that this will take between 5-6 hours of your time. In addition to therapists, this course has been much sought after by midwives and health visitors. You will need a baby-size doll or The Infant Massage doll too attend - please contact us for massage doll suppliers details.
