This course is designed for massage therapists, midwives, health visitors and other practitioners involved in baby care that have an interest in massage. It will cover a brief history of baby massage and relevant theory relating to instructing on baby massage procedures and massage techniques. On completion candidates will be able to conduct classes for parents to use massage techniques to reinforce bonding, improve joint movement and soothe fractious babies as well as offer infant massage to infant clients (legislation re: minors mist be adhered to).
You will also be required to purchase a doll or baby mannequin for training & case studies.

massage routine;

supported home study.

Entry qualifications:
This qualification is suitable for those employed as health professionals specifically those concerned with baby care or massage therapists. Candidates for this qualification should have an understanding of massage and anatomy & physiology. Infant Anatomy & Physiology will be covered through assignments.
