Infant Massage Instructor Course - FHT Accredited

6th September and 7th October 2013

This is a 2 day course and both dates must be attended to qualify.

The aim of this course is to enable therapists to instruct their clients in infant massage techniques. Successful completion will allow you to teach mums, dads or carers how to safely massage their babies on a one to one or to run small groups. This is a great addition to your therapy repertoire as it is both deeply rewarding and far less strain on your body.

We will cover:

• contraindications
• Benefits of Infant Massage
• Massage techniques both basic and advanced
• Specific techniques to aid ailments such as colic
• We will discuss massage and children with disabilities

Students will be required to complete two case studies under your tutors guidance between day 1 and day 2, it is anticipated that this will take between 5-6 hours of your time. In addition to therapists, this course has been much sought after by midwives and health visitors.
