Hydrotherapy Course
HYDROTHERAPY (3 credits)
This course does not focus on colon hydrotherapy, rather it explains the application of water treatments to reinforce the therapeutic process and the physiological effects of hot and cold as applied to illness and injury. It describes several spa and hydrotherapy treatments including ice therapy, hydrotherapy tub/whirlpool, alternate hot and cold therapies, vichy shower, mud treatments, and fomentation. It also considers water treatments combined with aromatherapy through the use of different inhaled essences.
