This qualification covers the concepts of the history and theory of colour therapy, theories of life force, colour, auras and chakras and includes interpersonal skills and consultation. It also includes counselling techniques and the relationship of colour therapy to auras and chakras. It covers the use of colour in relation to other therapies such as yoga and metamorphic technique to give a thorough grounding in the subject.
The aim of this course is to train students to a professionally competent level enabling them to provide holistic colour therapy which meets client needs, develop understanding of the relationship of colour therapy to the aura and chakras and to demonstrate a full and accurate understanding of the application of interpersonal skills and their integration with physical therapies. It is suitable for those employed in beauty or holistic therapy, health related services.
This qualification requires the student to provide evidence of competence in the form of case studies or individual treatments to cover range statements, demonstrate sufficient knowledge to be able to explain Colour Therapy and provide it safely, effectively and consistently.
Independent study is an essential part of this course and you will be required to complete both practical and theoretical assignments at home. Assessments will take place during the course and again when all your case studies and Portfolio of Evidence is completed.
Students can progress into other areas of the complementary therapy industry and / or directly into employment or self employment with this qualification.
Course duration: Practical elements are covered over 4 days attendance at our centre 9.30am – 5.30pm. Theory elements are covered by homestudy, typically over 3 to 12 months plus 2 final assessments to be carried out at our centre.
