Helen McGuinness has been involved in the field of Beauty and Holistic Therapies for over 25 years.
She has extensive teaching and educational experience having worked as a lecturer, assessor and verifier in both further education and the private sector.
She also has many years of commercial experience from owning and running successful clinics and salons providing a wide range of both Holistic and Beauty Therapy treatments.
In 1992, she saw the need to develop comprehensive training programmes and hence The Holistic Training Centre was born.
As well as designing and developing a unique range of training programmes, she has also produced a series of professional training videos, which have become an invaluable resource for students and colleges alike.
Helen is a well known and widely respected professional, for her unique ability as both a practitioner and teacher and is often sought for her experience and expertise. In 1994 she was approached by Hodder & Stoughton, who commissioned her to write 'Anatomy & Physiology ~ Therapy Basics', which quickly became very popular and led to a second book entitled, 'Aromatherapy ~ Therapy Basics'.
Both books have become highly successful and are used extensively by colleges and students who are studying for a professional qualification, both in the UK and abroad.
Due to the success of her first two books, Helen was commissioned to write further books and to date has written 4 editions of Anatomy & Physiology, 2 editions of Aromatherapy, 2 editions of IndianHeadMassage and 1st editions of HolisticTherapies, BabyMassage and FacialsandSkinCare.
All of her books are aimed at the professional market and are extremely detailed, covering the knowledge, understanding and practical skills for students studying for professional qualifications.
