Keeping your skin looking young isn’t as hard as you may think

Aging is an inevitable consequence of living, but who said we cannot slow down this process? There are several ways to deceive nature and even turn back time, making the skin more elastic, dense and radiant, and, accordingly, noticeably younger. Here are the most effective tips for rejuvenation: from hydration to plastic surgery.

1. Drink more water

Researchers at the University of Wisconsin have proven that a lack of water leads to the dysfunction of our skin cells, this process makes our skin dry and inflamed. And dry skin is more prone to the appearance of wrinkles and other age-related changes.

Regularly drinking water helps to maintain the moisture balance from the inside the body and also slows down skin aging, even if you don’t notice it. There is no exact daily dose of water but most experts agree that drinking about two liters of water per day is useful, but none of them exclude that you can drink more or less water, depending on individual indicators.

2. Stop smoking

Quitting smoking is one of the best ways to keep your skin young for an extended period of time. You can guess that this bad habit leads to dry and dull skin. According to Health.com, smokers have sleep problems more frequently than non-smokers. In other words, quitting smoking leads to not having bruises and bags under the eyes.

By the way, you can’t even imagine how much money you may save. An important motivator will be the fact that, according to statistics, the skin of smokers on average looks much older than non-smokers.

3. Use cream with SPF

It is well known that the sun damages the skin. First, it leads to premature aging and then increases the risk of skin cancer. The cause of this is ultraviolet radiation. According to The Daily Mail, ultraviolet rays are responsible for about 80% of wrinkles on your face.

In addition to this, it can lead to other unpleasant consequences, including sagging skin, deterioration of its texture and relief, and yellowing shade. That is why you should avoid direct sunlight, and when you are outdoors, use a cream with a factor of at least SPF 50, which will protect your skin from sun damage.

4. Don’t forget about skin moisturization

Daily cosmetic hydration positively and noticeably affects the skin. Hard tap water makes our skin dry and irritated, that’s why our skin especially needs active ingredients that can minimize damage. Pay attention to creams and serums with hyaluronic acid - they effectively keep moisture in the skin. Moisturizers are intended for daily use, in addition, they help to fill the gaps between skin cells, preventing the formation of wrinkles.

5. Consult a dermatologist

Of course, if all of the above methods do not work or do not work as well as you wish, you can always go and talk to a dermatologist. Moreover, it is important to understand that for an inspiring result, the operation doesn’t have to be cardinal. Modern dermatologists can offer a range of procedures which will help to renew and support the youth and beauty of skin with minimal health risks.
