REGAINE foam is a topical hair regrowth treatment that contains Minoxidil as an active ingredient. Minoxidil is a proven medical ingredient that stimulates hair growth in adult men and women by creating an ideal growth environment for existing hair follicles through increased supply of blood. The blood flow also helps to increase the follicle size and hair shaft diameter. This prevents further hair loss and promotes hair regrowth.

REGAINE foam is formulated to provided results in hair conditions such as women and men pattern hair loss, in hereditary hair loss, a combination of genetics, hormones, and age that causes a progressive shrinking, or miniaturization, of certain scalp follicles and a shortening of the hair's growth cycle. Over an extended period of time, the scalp produces smaller and finer hairs with each growth cycle. Eventually, there may be no growth at all in certain areas.

REGAINE topical foam is applied directly to scalp and messaged slightly to treat alopecia. The foam features 5% Minoxidil to effectively control hair fall by reactivating existing hair follicles and also treat thinning of hair. REGAINE products help to reverse the progression of hereditary hair loss and can also help in growing new hair.

How to apply REGAINE foam?

REGAINE foam is directly applied to the area of the scalp that is suffering area loss or thinning or hair. The product provides optimum results when applied correctly. The instructions are given below:

—  Hold the can vertically upside down to dispense half a capful of foam to a non-absorbent surface, such as a soap dish. Part your hair to expose the troubled areas.

—   Apply directly to the scalp with a massaging motion. As the foam penetrates the skin it reactivates hair follicles that have become inactive.

—   Wash your hands well with soap and water. Once the foam dries completely, style hair as usual. Use the product daily. Please refer to the Patient Information Leaflet for full directions for use.

It is recommended to use the product on dry scalp. For women, the frequency of use is once a day while for men, it is recommended to apply the foam twice a day for best results. A 12 hours difference is recommended between applications.

Over time, REGAINE will regrow hair in the areas where the foam has been regularly applied. However, as REGAINE foam is formulated with the strength of 5% of Minoxidil, and can increase hair growth by four times as much as a placebo. Therefore, it is advised to use it carefully on the areas affected by hair loss.
