Moles might give your skin some interesting characteristics. However, they can be possible signs of medical problems, such as cancer. While most moles don’t need to be worried about, it’s best to not have them. You want to be as conscious of your skin as possible. Here are four tips for keeping moles at bay:
Sunscreen
If the sun is shining, it’s time to put on some sunscreen. It doesn’t matter if you’re going to the beach, going on a picnic, or just going for a walk. You need to make sure you’re using one with at least 50 SPF protection. It should be going all over any part of your body that could be affected by the sun. It should be on your arms, neck, face, and anywhere else. Help your spouse and kids with putting their sunscreen on.
Wear the Right Clothes
You want to step out with style but also with smarts. You can use a wide-brimmed to give yourself shade. You should also try protective clothing. It should be able to cover you up without feeling like you’re being smothered. Make sure you have the right shoes on as well. If you’re wearing sandals, make sure your feet are properly covered with sunscreen.
Stay Inside
Sometimes it’s just too risky to go outside. You might typically associate this with rain or snowstorms. However, the sun can certainly be threatening. If it’s scorching outside and you’re able to stay inside, do so. The sun does not wait and a short amount of time can be seriously dangerous. Seek refuge when you need to.
Exfoliation
A bi-weekly skincare routine can be essential when it comes to preventing moles. Make sure you’re exfoliating your skin every morning. You need to use an exfoliating cream that will work with your skin. Put it on a washcloth and rub it gently around your face. Then, wash your face with warm water. After which you use a moisturizing cream. Make this a part of your daily routine. In addition to helping prevent moles, it also makes your skin look more refreshed and healthy. Just make sure that you are consistent with your practice and not going too harshly on your skin.
If you see a mole on your body that you haven’t noticed before, don’t panic. You can take action by making an appointment with a dermatologist as soon as possible. By taking action early, you can keep moles at bay!
