We have all experienced this dilemma and the worst time can be waking up in the morning with a stiff neck which speaks of ‘pillow issues'.  Whatever the cause, an aching neck is extremely uncomfortable.

In the beginning, a little self help Reflexology can go a long way in understanding relaxation and meditation within yourself until you are able to take some time out to see a Reflexologist.

This journey begins by sitting back comfortably, resting arms/elbows on the desk or table or arm of the chair. As you know, all the reflexes of your spine and body are mirrored in your hands and specifically, the neck area is reflected on either side of the thumbs.

Starting at either side of your thumb nail, gently but firmly squeeze in a rotating movement. Take your time and feel the reflexes in that process, slowly moving towards the base of your thumb.  Work back and forth on each thumb for as long as you are comfortable with.  Apart from being a gentle stimulating massage of the reflexes this is also a time for thoughtful meditation and intuitional guidance as to the areas of your life which are stressful.

The 'pain in the neck' might just be a reminder to enjoy Meditation in Mind and Body balance which teaches us to keep an equal balance between home and career, encouraging a healthy lifestyle and more positive decisions for the highest good.
