Recently I was asked to help a person with hayfever which is as a result of allergies. After chatting about eating habits, and even diet from a young age I was surprised at what unfolded.

As a child this person was given mainly fruit juice and water because he had reactions to milk and throughout his life did not eat any form of vegetables except perhaps butternut. His hayfever is prevalent first thing in the morning and his face comes up in little red patches. The areas on the face tell their own story as each part reflects reflexes of bodily organs. It became clear to me the person was completely overloaded with sugar and was literally eating protein and sugar as a habit more than for his own good. Sometimes a sense of fee.ling bloated around the tummy area can actually be a reaction to eating what is not right for your body. Only each individual will know what feels right for them.

I gave a gruelling reflexology session and especially working all the toes and the lymphatic reflexes under the front pads of the feet as these speak for the sinuses. We also went through positive aspects of a changed diet which includes more greens and vegetables, no fizzy drinks and more water. After any reflexology session, the body detoxes immediately and this is a good time to start a new diet.

The feedback is positive, the diet includes vegetables and more water and he no longer feels constantly. bloated There are so many instances in which a person has eaten specific foods for years not thinking that they might be the cause of allergies. The body goes through phases where enough of any one particular food, is enough. I personally have experienced this with rice and even though I was told to try brown rice, because it is so good for me, I have the same allergy type reaction. Therefore I eat sweet potatoes or yellow potatoes as my healthy substitute.

Let your body tell you what you need. If your stomach gives you indigestion or burning sensation, dont' eat it again and likewise if it gives you a digestive upset or a headache, dont eat it again. Look at healthy substitutes in the categories of foods such as carbohydrates, proteins and starch. Some people have reactions to oranges, so we have found a good substitute would be paw paw or carrot. In fact perhaps a lot of the reactions are to the pesticides used to protect the fruits whilst growing. One does not know, but I do suggest listening to what your stomach and body tells you, and start enjoying the food your body needs.

One mind, one body brings balance and a positive outlook.
