Although obesity is one of the major causes of diabetes but it does not make normal weight people immune to diabetes. Diabetes can attack anyone whether he is slim or obese is just a matter of chance.

Diabetes is Contagious
It is not an infectious or a contagious disease but rather a genetic disorder. You cannot catch diabetes from other person.
