This is because actively relaxing, whether you do it through a relaxation technique like meditation or deep breathing, or by pursing a hobby you enjoy, can help to slash stress hormones. Stress hormones can have a wide range of negative effects on your body, one of them being weight gain or weight retention. By taking steps to slash stress, you may also be helping yourself to drop pounds. 

Get the Sleep You Need

Sleep is also often another significant factor when it comes to health and weight loss. This is because when you are sleeping, your body usually undergoes many healing and reparative processes, some of which are related to weight loss. If you don't get enough sleep, your body may not be able to undergo these processes, and it could lead to weight gain. Even if you can't get the full recommended 8 hours of sleep, squeezing extra time in where you can may often still be beneficial.
