Planning for her wedding is no doubt one of the happiest times in a girl's life. It can also be one of the most hectic, between trying to find the right gown, choosing the bridal attendants, deciding on the size of the wedding, and if necessary looking at diamond rings to choose the right engagement ring along with wedding bands. With so much to do there is something else a bride must consider and that is her skincare regime. The bride wants to have a beautiful glow as she walks down the aisle. Believe it or not, this will take some effort, and knowing exactly what skincare routine to follow in order to look your absolute best on your wedding day is key. Here are some basic tips from some beauty experts on how to prepare your skin for that special day that can begin a few months before.
Three Months Before the Wedding
A couple of months prior to the wedding here are some basic things that can be done for optimal skin care. First of all, this is the best time to try a new product to add to your daily skincare regimen, this gives you plenty of time to see if it will work effectively or if there will be an issue. Never try anything new a week or so before a wedding. Some example of things that can be added is a new moisturizer, an eye cream, or a new skin toner. Another thing to start doing is looking at your overall diet, remember you are what you eat, so try to eat more healthy foods such as fruits and vegetables along with cutting back on process sugar. One other thing to start doing at this point is to always get plenty of sleep. This can be a stressful time but sleep is an essential component to our overall health and well being along with being a wonderful beauty tool as well.
One Month Before the Wedding
Continue what was started in the first few months and add facial masks. Preferably a type you are accustomed to using. These can be applied daily or weekly depending on the instructions on the product. Another thing that should be added if not already being done is to drink plenty of water. There is the old formula of 8X8 meaning 8-ounce glasses of water 8 times a day. THis helps to keep the body hydrated and to flush out impurities. One other form of advice, if not already being done remember to always include the neck in the skincare regime, depending on the style of the gown which should be bought at this point, consider the cleavage and shoulders as well.
One Week Before the Wedding
Again for any bride a very stressful time and a whole lot are going on. But the skincare still has to be taken into consideration. It is important to stay the course by continuing to follow the steps began in previous months. Now is the time to consider some other things that would benefit the skin and maybe even add a little pampering as well. For example, plan a spa day for you, your family and perhaps your bridal attendants. A fun way to take off some stress while doing something good for the body as well.
Being a bride is a special time in a woman's life. Yes, there is a whole lot to do including taking care of yourself, but the important thing is not to allow yourself to get stressed out over all that needs to get done. This is your wedding and it is something to be remembered in a special way. So, savor every moment of it.
