EDENBRIDGE, UK - In response to phenomenal success in the USA, International Biosciences, in partnership with the National Pharmacy Association, are soon to release over-the-counter DNA paternity tests through pharmacies nationwide.

The DNA Paternity Test kits are being launched by International Biosciences (IBDNA) in partnership with the National Pharmacy Association (NPA) and are expected to experience the same surge of interest and strong sales. A similar product, launched in the United States in 2008, has helped to put tens of thousands of customers' minds at rest and with strong over-the-counter sales in the USA, it has been demonstrated that retail store purchases are the consumers' preferred method for buying DNA tests.

DNA paternity tests have been widely available via the Internet for a number of years. Now, anybody seeking a definitive answer regarding paternity can buy a DNA sample collection kit from the High Street, collect samples in the privacy of their own home and return the samples to the laboratory for testing. Test results are available within a week of samples being received at the laboratory.

The sampling process itself is incredibly simple and full instructions are included with the kit. Retailing for £30, customers will pay an additional £119 laboratory-processing fee when returning their samples for testing. Trained customer advisors are on hand via email or telephone to assist with any queries, discreetly and in complete confidence, whether they have questions about how to take a sample, problems interpreting a DNA test results report or how to deal with the outcome of a DNA test.

Home DNA Test kit results will not be accepted as evidence in court due to the identification of applicants not being verified, but customers have the option of upgrading to a legal DNA test at extra cost should they need to do so. The Home DNA Test offers consumers a quick, convenient and affordable solution that doesn't require any courts, doctors or solicitors. The DNA testing process carried out at IBDNA's fully accredited laboratory is identical in all cases and complies with all required international accreditation standards.

Founded just four years ago in 2005, IBDNA has already established a successful online presence. Ian Meekins, CEO of International Biosciences said "We are delighted to have secured such a prestigious route to market with our products as the National Pharmacy Association. We are confident that we will have our DNA paternity product available to customers through the majority of pharmacies in the UK by the end of the year".

IBDNA and the NPA are expected to be launching further DNA-related over-the-counter products very soon.
