As we known, high levels of estrogen during the menstrual cycle causes hormonal imbalance of levels of estrogen and progesterone leading to symptoms of endometriosis. Soy products help to bind the excessive levels of estrogen which reduces the risk of cell abnormality such as cancer and endometriosis.

II. Hormonal balancing
Excessive estrogen produced by the reproductive system in women with endometriosis causes hormonal imbalance in the body. Soy products help to stimulate the production of the hormone binding glubulin (SHBG) produced by the liver which helps to balance the levels of estrogen progesterone resulting in symptoms of endometriosis and pre-menstrual syndrome.

III. Menstrual cramps
Isoflavones is essential for the liver in protein and fat metabolism. It helps to balance the production of prostaglandins hormones which control the uterine muscles during the menstrual cycle leading to the lessening of abdominal period pains.

IV. Sugar and food craving
Since soy products are important for helping the liver in carbohydrate metabolism, it is necessary to provide energy to the body function leading to right levels of insulin produced by the pancreas to the digestive system. Over-production of insulin because of the weakening of liver function in secreting bile results in sugar and food craving, a symptom of some women with endometriosis have.

V. Immune system
Since isoflavones help to balance the levels of estrogen in the body, it helps to strengthen the immune system in regulating the DNA and RNA duplication in cell division which reduces the risk of the forming of free radicals, cancer, and endometrial implants and adhesion.
