In traditional Chinese medicine, high FSH is defined as the process of the continuous surging of yin which cannot stimulate the ovarian to produce the follicle because of yin deficiency. This leads to the pituitary gland producing even more FSH hormone. Herbs, acupuncture and foods that are used to treat high levels of FSH caused by liver qi stagnation are:
A. Herbs
a) Bai shao (White peony)
This cool herb has been used in TCM in calming liver yang, preserving liver yin and nourishing blood.
b) Xian fu (Nutgrass)
It has been used in promoting qi circulation in the entire body by soothing and regulating the qi flow in the liver and kidney channels.
c) Xiao hu xiang (Fennel seed)
One of the warm herbs. It has been used to tonify the liver qi and warm the kidney. Xian hu xiang can also be used in regulating the stomach qi.
d) Qing pi (Tangerine peel)
This herb has been used to treat liver qi stagnation, but cannot be used if the qi stagnation is caused by qi deficiency.
B. Acupuncture
