I. Definition
Taraxacum officnale is also known as dandelion. It is a large genus of wild plant in the family Asteraceae. It is found growing in every region of the world. Traditional Chinese medicine has used it to treat liver qi stagnation with proven success.

II. How dandelion effects women with endometriosis
1. Luteolin
The element luteolin in the plant helps to increase the circulation of blood in the abdominal region resulting in lessening menstrual cramps and bleeding during menstruation.

The flavones in dandelion also has an effect in binding the bad estrogen that causes the forming of endometriosis and menstrual cramp resulting in balancing the reproductive hormones.

4. Liver support
Dandelion is said to help detoxify the liver caused by accumulation of toxins in the liver, thereby it increases the function of liver in fat and protein metabolism resulting in lessening the levels of bad estrogen during menstrual cycle which helps to reduce symptoms of nervous symptom such as irritation, anxiety, and insomnia.
