2020 New Resolutions and Confidence Building

It’s a New Year and often many consider this time of the year to be refocused and committed to do better and to become a better person, to be energized and to make a difference not only in your life, but to be a better force of good in the lives of others.

There is a new excitement and enriched desire to reach beyond what you have done before, whether it be eating more healthily, losing weight, getting up earlier each day, learning to play a musical instrument or learning a new language, spending less time watching the TV, or playing on the electronics, or endless hours on social media; whatever it maybe for you, overall it is a new desire to become and do better.

Here are 7 simple things that you can consider that maybe helpful in enabling you to accomplish your new 2020 goals, targets and achievements.

  1. Write down your thoughts and desires. Have your objectives, intensions and ambitions written down, identify what you want to accomplish, clearly outline in detail and what and how you are going to do to achieve them.
  2. You do need to believe in yourself. You need to believe that you can achieve your desires. You need to live your dream before it comes true, for it to become a reality in your life. Believe in yourself - you can achieve anything that you want, if you only believe in yourself.  You have the ability to move mountains in your life and do the things that you have not been able to do previously, allow your vision to drive you to new heights.
  3. Imagine yourself already at the ‘end post’. Imagine that you have already achieved your success. Feed your thoughts with a clear vision that you have already accomplished your objective. See yourself speaking the language or playing that musical instrument, look at yourself as slim and trim having lost all that unwanted weight.
  4. Be organized in your efforts. Set aside regular time each day or week to improve your ability to achieve your goals.  You may have to reorganize your time and calendar to schedule in new time slots to enable you to use your time more wisely to achieve your new objectives.  Your use of time must change to give you a chance of being the “New You” - if you kept doing the things that you were previously doing, you will keep getting the same result. For example: Losing weight doesn’t come from eating the same foods in the same amounts that  you were eating last year, if you don’t change what you are eating then you will probably be the same size or even bigger this year!  You have to be “organized for change” to accomplish a new YOU!
  5. Be persistent and don’t give up.  It is very easy to have great ambitions and a desire to change, then when you get into the actual “doing” and “changing” - that is working the dream, you then find out how difficult the challenge is and  want to give up - feeling it’s just too hard and unrealistic to achieve.  You have to be persistent, you have to have the courage to do new things, to come out of your comfort zone, to  make that change.  Becoming a better “You” is not easy, it will take time and you will need to be persistent and not give up!  If you slip back a little, don’t give up, just get going again and recommit yourself to achieving your goal
  6. Do not procrastinate. If you have set up a time to do something, then do it. Maybe you have designed yourself a new early to bed, early to rise schedule and after a week you are too tired to continue with the challenge because you didn’t get to bed early enough and the early mornings have taken its toll.  Do not procrastinate in following your plan, keep to what you have committed to do and DO IT NOW!
  7. Do not allow others or outside influences to discourage you.  Sometimes we can get discouraged by friends or family members, or maybe it’s the weather or other circumstances or influences at home or at work.  The key is to keep focussed on what you want to achieve and in doing so you will make the difference and accomplish your New Year resolutions.

Having a health mind set will enable to you to feel more healthy both in body and spirit which will allow you to meet your dreams.

Today is a new year, a new decode, a new month, a new day, a new hour and a new minute  - Make it count and YOU make a difference in YOUR life!
