Can You Tailor Your Workout To Your Needs By Exercising From Home?

Which part of your body do you want to target next? What about toning up the notoriously difficult parts of the body such as the thighs, upper arms or abdominal area? On the other hand, do you have a specific muscle group you wish to work, such as the biceps and triceps or perhaps your calves and hamstrings? Is it possible to find a solution to work all these muscle groups and get an outstanding, practical all-round workout at home?

The effectiveness and efficiency of home fitness has always been a contentious issue. Certainly, if you have the space and money to be able to install a purpose-built gym in your home, it is possible to achieve great results. For the vast majority of people though, such a move is not practical or affordable. Many have tried a variety of home fitness regimes, or bought specialist equipment, in the hope they can reap the benefits of their efforts from home. Unfortunately, many people find they quickly tire of using the equipment when they do not achieve the results they are hoping for, or because family or working life leaves them without the time required to use the equipment as was intended.

Now, though, one piece of home exercise equipment is seeking to change this and not only allows the user to receive an outstanding home workout that addresses the specific needs of the user, but also has a host of other benefits.

This relatively new form of home fitness is called a vibration plate and it is set to become the next big thing in fitness, both at home and in your local fitness club.

It is interesting to note that the development of this technology actually stemmed from similar constraints faced by a completely different kind of user. When the Russian Space Agency first sent its astronauts into space, it required a machine that could give the astronauts a full-body workout and keep their muscles and circulation functioning well to fight the debilitating effects of weightlessness. They devised a vibrating plate as the perfect way to do this; chiefly because it is a relatively compact, easy to use and storage friendly piece of equipment able to deliver the necessary results.

Perhaps the only surprise is that this ‘60s technology has taken so long to be translated into a commercial product, with many recent studies documenting the beneficial effects that vibration plates have for the user. These benefits include improved circulation and muscle tone, decreased body fat, enhanced posture, and even increased bone density and strength.

Furthermore, studies have shown that with the aid of a calorie-controlled diet, using a vibration plate as part of a weight-loss plan can help the user achieve long-lasting weight-loss of 10 per cent of their bodyweight.

Tailoring a workout using a vibration plate is easy because the machine targets almost all areas of the body as part of the workout. Despite this, if you wish to target the gluteus or thigh area, you can sit on the machine for more direct results.

Incredibly though, what makes the vibration plate so important for home fitness is its practicality; there are no complicated parts to negotiate, no need to struggle with free weights and certainly no need for a massive room to store it in. You can place the plate in any room discreetly in the corner, and perhaps most incredibly of all, you can achieve clearly identifiable and measurable results with this machine by using it for just 10 minutes a day.

Thanks to the vibration plate, you can now not only tailor your workout from home, but also achieve a workout that is equally as good as, if not better than, you would receive in even the most expensive of gyms, for less than the cost of a couple of months membership.
