And Christmas day is upon us. Presents have been given, received and opened. Wrapping paper may adorn the floors of your home. If you have children there is a good chance that they will be making lots of noise playing with their new toys. Food is cooking and loved ones may be near. But take a moment and ask "WHY?" Why do we have Christmas?
Take time to ponder. Ponder on what you have, who you are and your purpose. As I think of the words to the popular Christmas song,
'And in our world of plenty we can spread a smile of joy,
Throw your arms around the world at Christmas time
...there wont be snow in Africa this Christmas time,
The greatest gift they'll get this year is life'
These lyrics remind me of how plentiful my life is, how much I have and how little I have to be disgruntled about. Regardless of your religious affiliation Christmas provides an opportunity to reflect upon your life and the blessings you have. Turn your gaze outward and recognize the needs of those that surround you and be open to offering a helping hand.
Allow your positive energy to radiate and send it surging forward to those whose situations need a positive nudge. Ponder how you can increase your positive energy to improve your health and situation and that of those around you. Energy is real. Energy is tangible. Ponder and take time to feel the energy that radiates out of the very season of Christmas, absorb it and allow it to bring you joy. As you take time to receive the joy of the season make a commitment to take it with you through to the next year.
Take time to ponder...
