Middle aged women and their chronic back pain

It seems that more and more middle aged women are complaining of chronic back pain. Pain so awful that it is preventing the women from enjoying daily life, in some cases the pain is isolating them from society. It seems that hours spent sitting at a computer surfing the internet maybe a huge contributor to magnifying the back pain.

Today's society has such a focus on social networking that several hours a day are spent starring into a computer, an Ipad, a phone or a laptop. Sadly, due to the lack of physical activity that people engage in, their bodies are not strong enough to maintain correct alignment rather the bent over posture crushes the spine into an inverse curve which encourages the shifting of vertebras. Once bones have shifted they are pulled by opposing muscles creating tension; therefore pain and discomfort.

Analyze your life, how many hours are you spending at a computer screen or something similar. Are these hours necessary?

By changing a few daily details you can reduce your back pain and also spend more time interacting with people rather than virtual interaction. The increase of physical activity will also strengthen the torso muscles reminding the muscles to engage while sitting. Yoga is a great activity to strengthen the core muscles, increasing overall strength while creating leaner muscles.
