Get fit without going to the gym or doing aerobics

If you want to get back in shape without the embarassment of going to a gym where fitness geeks hang out, then you're in luck.

Its really easy and doesn't require you to buy any fancy equipment or do any exercise videos.

The key is walking up hills and doing exercises that use your body weight as resistance.

Now, before you say that it won't work, listen for just a minute. If you make your body do what God designed it to do you will start getting back into shape naturally.

Don't know where to start? Try this simple program to get you started. It only takes 12-14 minutes per day.

I walk briskly up a hill near my house at least 5 times in a row. The hill is not too steep and is about 150 yards long. I walk up and I walk back down. Up and down = 1 rep, so in 5 reps you will walk about 1500 yards or a little less than a mile. If you can't do 5 reps, do what you can and then build up to 5.

You should be able to walk the hill in around 12-14 minutes depending on how fit you are. After you have started losing weight, you should start jogging up the hill and then eventually sprinting up the hill.

Something about sprinting up a hill releases HGH into your body and helps you lose weight faster.

Do the hill walking every other day, taking off 1 day a week.

Next, you need to do bodyweight exercises on the days you don't walk the hill. Two good exercises are pushups and knee bends. Just try to do 4 or 5 of each at first or do as many as you can/ If its been a while since you exercised you will find these exercises to be hard, but stick with it. The trick is not to go down as far far at first. Let your body start building muscle without hurting yourself.

If you still don't understand, only go down 4-6 inches when you are doing knee bends then go back up. Very soon, you'll notice you are getting stronger. Wait a week or so and start focusing on going a little farther down each week.

Only do the pushups and knee bends twice a week.

After a week or two, you will start to feel better and see some changes to your body. They will not be dramatic at first, but very soon, everything will start to tighten up.

Just do something, anything. You didn't get out of shape in a week and you won't get back into shape in a week either. Be patient with yourself, exercise consitently and you will see the results you want. won't get back into shape overnight either.
