Self Perspective #1

Ask any family photographer who is the most important person to please in a photo shoot and they will always answer, "The mother". The funny thing is a woman will look at the photo and only see themselves, their thighs, stomach or arms and if they decide that the photo is not a flattering photo of them then regardless of the rest of the photo it's awful. Another person can look at this photo and see something wonderful.

Women, in general are plagued with an inaccurate sense of what they look like and this image has the ability to influence them for the worst. Self image will always be low and unstable when a person is comparing themselves to another person or another person's standard.

In order to embrace happiness and self acceptance, a person must change their self perspective. Honesty is the first step in this transformation. Some people are uncomfortable with themselves because they don't like they why they look; the truth is if you are overweight in reality then you will look over weight too. Self acknowledgement is essential to moving on. Acknowledging the truth about your body is essential to progression.

By acknowledging that you are over weight, have large ears, a big nose or short legs doesn't mean you have to change those aspects but by being realistic you will have a greater ability to accept yourself and judge yourself against reality rather than another person or an inaccurate version of yourself.

The second aspect to altering your perspective is to find self confidence in the way you feel rather than the way you look. If you feel beautiful, healthy and sexy then you will probably project that through your appearance. It is more satisfying to feel and look wonderful than to just look wonderful and feel miserable.
