They compared results from studies conducted during 2005 and 2007 and compared the data to determine what influenced health. The found that the consumption of five or more portions of fruits and vegetables played a large role in combat of many diseases and mortality rate.

Obviously five is not a limit, the more the merrier. These studies really allowed the data to speak for itself. Eating the food of the earth really was designed for the human body. The human Body needs the nutrients that reside within fruits and vegetables; they are nature's way of combating disease.

The study concluded that if suppliers to consumers make it their priority to make healthy options readily available, affordable and appealing then more consumers will make healthy wise choices. Once we are in the habit of making healthy choices we will begin to feel more energized, enjoy health and overall well being.

Basically, make a few changes to ensure that you will be surrounded be fruit and vegetables. During your grocery shopping experience keep to the fruits, vegetables, grains, meat, dairy and nuts. If your home is stocked full of fruits and vegetables then when hunger calls you are more likely to fill up nature's fuel. Accompany each meal with a fruit and vegetable.

Eating five portions of fruits and vegetables is not impossible; actually it's very accessible and an affordable to increase your chances of improved and long-lasting health.
